The first album the Artist made, taking his first steps in discography.
It is an album of covers and original pieces by the band members, a group of friends from the same high school: Morris on vocals and lead guitar, Edoardo on bass, Bob on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Claudio on drums.
In 1967, the Hangmen often met at Edoardo’s house in Ipanema to rehearse in the afternoon.
That year, a new club opened in Rio de Janeiro: the “Canecāo”. So the band decided to participate in its casting. Being their parents unaware, the band shows up for the auditions and wins the competition.
The dilemma remains regarding how to tell parents who don’t want their barely adolescent children to neglect their studies. Once the families found it out, they met to decide what to do. Given their children’s great passion for music, the parents chose to help the boys, organizing themselves, with sacrifice, to pick them up at the club and bring them home the night after playing.
One evening, an independent record producer showed up at the club, appreciated their performance, and offered them a contract.
The Hangmen eagerly accept. Thus their first album was born.
